DWIJENDRA UNIVERSITY

Dwijendra University is the oldest “professional ethics” University in Bali offering programs from Kinder to Bachelor Level. Dwijendra, through the Chancellor, and Dean of the College Agriculture Prof. Gede Sedana, is collaborating with WOW to implement the “Human Biodiversity”, with emphasis on Dynamic Wellness framework within its curriculum and to co-create academic case studies for the framework to encourage International conferences for regeneration of the framework and the best practices built around it. This will include hosting and inviting internationally recognized universities here in Indonesia, ICRAF academics/ecosystems services communities; plus ASEAN countries, its inter-government organizations and academia.

Dean Sedana from the College of Agriculture spearheaded the collaboration with WOW Bali through the initial conduct of the Awaken the Spirit Conference in 29 March 2014. This event launched the Sustainable Dynamics Framework for collaborations, showcasing the different collaborations with local stakeholders in Bali. He discussed the Subak System, the traditional system of irrigation sustaining the agricultural way of life in Bali. WOW Bali considers the subak system as a form of natural aesthetic, one of the pillars of the Human Biodiversity model which defines human's innate natural connections with nature.  WOW claims that "natural aesthetic" designs are fundamental to our symbiosis with life and harmonious living with nature- the backbone of sustainability.

WOW Bali is looking to collaborate with Dwijendra not only in the area of academic conferences but also in research and development on sustainability and wellness.
