For WOW Bali, learning is our highest celebration; a form of ceremony in and of itself. To approach the learning process with respect creates deeper understanding. When one recognizes the value of what is being learned, one is empowered and inspired to take greater positive action. The highest context for learning is when one has the freedom to create and follow his/her own process and purpose.

Creative autonomy, humanity's highest attribute, is the force and property in our learning celebrations for today's sustainable world. Knowledge and action towards being in harmony with nature is most affective when approached as a way of celebrating, rather than being motivated by guilt.

The Celebrations Program

The Celebrations Program is internationally recognized, and it is based on cased studies produced for the National Alliance of New Media Arts and Culture (NAMAC.org) and was applied for the Digital Global Ambassadors Programs of UNESCO and ZeroOne.org at the ISEA Symposium sponsored by Adobe, Inc. The Cultural Wealth Collaboration Projects of WOW Bali are founded on the principles of creative autonomy.

2003 National Alliance of Media Arts and Culture Recognition:

This case study showcased that Hai Dai’s New Media programs working with a group of “at hope” youths (children with parents earning below the poverty line; between 15-18 years of age) from the Big Brother Big Sisters facilities in Wailuku, Hawaii. Within a six-month period via an after school program, they had developed a group of eight youths to learn the techniques of new media and design communications. The program evolved to become a New Media Design and Development Company where the youths were billing up to 10 thousand dollars per month in design and productions work.

2008 UNESCO Global Digital Ambassadors (GDA) Program:

The “celebrations program” used for this “Cultural Wealth” project is an evolution of UNESCO’s GDA  Program in 2008. In GDA Program, UNESCO has selected 20 of the best digital youths out of 29 countries and over 60 youth’s New Media programs to represent as global ambassadors in regenerating ecological solutions for the planet. Being the New Media Director for the GDA, Hai Dai finds it necessary to make the program self sustainable for the youths and regenerative to fit the sustainable solutions for the planet.

It is a curriculum framework that develops learners to connect with their inner being (the self) towards living a more balanced life via one's creative autonomy and transformative leadership framework (in short, freedom to be and to relate—leading to empowerment).

The backbone of this framework is to empower learners with 21st century new media skills, communication designs techniques and maximize one's creative potential. These potentials will enhance their professional skills for any industry, enabling them to remotely participate. These same skills are taught with the enrichment aimed at supporting our ecology via applying the new media for regenerative sustainability and wellness development.

WOW’s inter-disciplinary programs are collaborated to maximize learner's creative potential. The UNESCO recognized processes and NAMAC.org case study programs have proven to be affective in inspiring learners to be more intuitive and self-directed in their learning experience, helping them develop a more sustainable process in living.
